Google introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash at I/O 2026, the first model in its new 3.5 lineup. The company says the model is already available in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search, as well as to developers through Antigravity, Google AI Studio and Android Studio.
According to Google, 3.5 Flash outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro on several agent and coding benchmarks and runs four times faster than other frontier models. Google also unveiled Antigravity 2.0 and Managed Agents in the Gemini API, and promised to release 3.5 Pro next month. For the market, this is another sign that competition is shifting from chatbots to AI agents capable of carrying out multistep tasks.
