xAI announced on August 19, 2026, that Grok Build is now available on every plan through Grok on the web, iOS and Android. Users can describe an app, game, website or dashboard, and the company says Grok will assemble a working version live within the chat.
The tool debuted in July as an Early Beta restricted to the SuperGrok Heavy plan. Since then, xAI says it has made building faster and added project publishing and sharing, integration with X, and access from generated applications to the company’s own models.
Each published application receives its own address on the grok.me domain. Creators can keep access private, make the project available to anyone with its link, or publish it to the internet. They can also connect a domain they own. Grok generates a cover for link previews, which can be regenerated, replaced with an uploaded image or redesigned through the conversation.
Projects shared on X can appear as inline cards rather than bare links. According to xAI, the card includes the creator’s handle, while games can receive a play control. The Remix feature also lets other users fork a published application and create their own version.
Applications made with Grok Build can call the company’s APIs for chat, image and voice functions without requiring creators to generate, paste or rotate keys manually. Authorization is configured separately for each application and can be revoked. Keys for third-party services can be stored outside the application’s code through the Secrets feature.
Creators can push an entire project to a GitHub repository and continue development in an editor or Grok Build for the terminal. Connectors can bring business data into live, filterable dashboards, while custom-domain support provides an alternative to the default grok.me address.
