At Google I/O 2026, the company introduced Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent designed to perform tasks in the background under the user’s control. The official announcement describes Spark as a 24/7 agent powered by Gemini 3.5 and the Antigravity harness.
Google also launched Daily Brief, which begins rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US on May 19, 2026. In the same announcement, the company said the Gemini app now has more than 900 million users across 230 countries and more than 70 languages.
Spark itself is opening to trusted testers this week, with a beta expected to become available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US next week. The Gemini app for macOS is already available, but Spark features are promised for later this summer.
