NVIDIA Unveils PAIR to Distribute AI Requests Across Computers

On September 3, 2026, NVIDIA introduced NVIDIA PAIR, a tool for users of local AI agents that distributes independent requests across computers on the same network. The company said the beta is already available for Windows, macOS and Linux.

According to NVIDIA, PAIR routes model inference requests to machines with available computing resources. This mechanism is designed to handle separate tasks, such as when an agent splits a large assignment into several parts that can run in parallel.

The company says PAIR works with Ollama and LM Studio. This connects request distribution with applications for running models locally that users can incorporate into their workflows.

Practical context: The practical value of this approach lies in processing a queue of independent tasks. For example, several computers could analyze different batches of emails simultaneously. For scenarios in which each subsequent step depends on the previous response, the benefit of distributing work in parallel is less clear.
